Cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, leafy greens, and berries help replenish fluids lost in the heat, and also add vitamins, minerals, and fiber to your plate. Pairing them with healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, or a sprinkle of nuts or seeds helps create a satisfying meal without feeling weighed down.

One of the biggest shifts to make while taking a GLP-1 medication is letting go of the idea that hunger has to be your reminder to eat. Between the medication and the summer heat, your appetite may stay quiet even when your body is in need of more fuel. Having easy, nutrient-dense staples in the fridge makes it easier to nourish yourself without having to cook an elaborate meal or force a large portion. It’s also worth paying attention to hydration. Since summer naturally increases your fluid needs, staying hydrated can help you feel your best. If plain water isn’t appealing, try adding citrus slices, berries, or fresh herbs for a little flavor, and aim to sip throughout the day rather than all at once during your mealtime.
